What do you like about LSI College?
I love how small the school is – it feels incredibly comfortable. When I met Heather and Kate and learned about the small class sizes, it immediately felt intimate. We've become very comfortable with each other, which makes learning much more enjoyable.
What is your experience working with Heather and Kate?
They're wonderfully different, which means I get varied types of support. Sometimes I need that extra motivation and push, and other times I need calm, nurturing guidance. The best part is that I no longer feel nervous – I'm completely comfortable talking with them and asking for help when I need it.
What are some challenges you have faced?
Doing two years of study in one year can be stressful, and there's a lot to manage. But I've learned to manage my stress, and with the incredible teacher support, it becomes much more manageable. Art was particularly challenging for me since I hadn't studied it in a while, but now I feel like I've seamlessly transitioned into the school and the programme.
Why did you choose Art?
I wanted to open up my career options and am considering potentially working in the US. Studying art at LSI College seemed like the perfect way to explore those possibilities.
What would you say to someone considering Art at LSI College?
The classes are incredibly intimate. For someone who wants personal attention, focused learning, and one-to-one time with their teacher, this is absolutely the perfect place. It's very comfortable, everyone is friendly, and the personalised approach makes a huge difference in the learning experience.
Meet Katy, doing Intensive A Levels Art at LSI College
Katy is pursuing an intensive programme in Art and English Literature. Previously focused on sciences and aspiring to medical school, she discovered a passionate new direction in art and literature. This prompted her search for an institution that would support her career transition.
What stood out to you about LSI College?
The college's flexibility in allowing students to take new subjects for Intensive years was exactly what I needed. The small class sizes were immediately appealing. As soon as I met Kate and Heather, I thought, 'Get me in this classroom now!' Ultimately, it was the teachers who convinced me to enrol.
What stood out to you about the teachers?
Their enthusiasm was infectious. They opened up possibilities, making me feel like I could pursue anything. Their ability to support students and breed creativity is truly exceptional.
What has your experience transitioning to Intensive Art been like?
It's been brilliant. The balance is perfect, and I always know exactly what I need to do. There's a clear timeline, and managing the workload has been remarkably reasonable. The small classrooms are key to making this possible.
What do you think others should know about considering Art at LSI College?
LSI College offers incredible flexibility with subject choices. If you have a unique educational situation, this is the right place for you.
Is there anything else you want people to know?
